Sprouts Farmers Market Expands Store Footprint

Sprouts Farmers Market continues to expand its store footprint, with seven new stores set to open by March 15. The organic foods grocer is committed to a robust growth strategy, aiming for 10% expansion year over year.

Approved Stores: Sprouts has nearly 100 approved stores in its pipeline, with 60 executed leases.

  • Store Opening: Approximately 35 new stores are expected to open in 2024, with the majority in the second half of the year.

  • Smaller-format Design: The new stores follow Sprouts' smaller-format design concept, featuring a bright and airy farmers market experience.

  • Financial Performance: In Q3, Sprouts saw a 7.6% increase in net sales and a 3.9% growth in comparable store sales.

New Store Openings:

  • Port Charlotte, Fla.: Opening on Friday, Jan. 12.

  • Miami-Coconut Grove, Fla.: Opening on Friday, Jan. 19.

  • Burtonsville, Md.: Opening on Friday, Jan. 19.

  • Cudahy, Calif.: Opening on Friday, Feb. 16.

  • Bakersfield, Calif.: Opening on Friday, March 1.

  • Victorville, Calif.: Opening on Friday, March 15.

  • Rockwall, Tex.: Opening on Friday, March 15.

Sprouts also plans to open six more stores in the Philadelphia area, bringing the total store count to 11 in a two-year span. Currently, Sprouts operates approximately 400 stores across 23 states.
